In this job you will work for the offshore energy division. Boskalis has one of the largest global fleets of specialized offshore vessels, allowing us to carry out a broad range of offshore activities. We provide innovative and sustainable all-round solutions to tackle major worldwide maritime challenges. Our Offshore Energy division supports sustainable energy solutions such as wind energy as well as traditional fossil facilities. We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.

Your responsibilities as an operations manager:

You will assure a smooth operation of a group of vessels during planning, execution and completion phases of our projects. Your vessels will be mainly CSVs and AHTSs. Your clients can be internal projects from our own department, projects from other business units and external clients operating in the renewable and O&G sectors.

• As an operations manager you are responsible for the execution of charters and projects for a number of vessels from the BOMS fleet.  
• You will coordinate with vessels, crewing and fleet the mobilization execution and demobilization of the vessels under charter to fulfill the contractual requirements.
• You will optimize the project result by adapting sailing strategies during contract execution.  
• You will align and manage expectations with clients for the vessel under charter.
• You will give the commercial department support on operational matters in the pre-contract phase.
• You will visit your vessels during mobilization and demobilization campaigns to ensure mobilization and demobilization within time and budget.
• As a representative of Boskalis your will motivate and assure that all the work is executed following the NINA rules and values, in accordance with the Way of Working principles.

What you bring as an Operations Manager

• You have a nautical background with sailing experience on CSVs as Captain or Chief Officer, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant shore-based experience in the maritime industry.
• You are a strong communicator in Nautical English.
• You are assertive of sharing your project goals by involving the necessary stakeholders.
• You’re analytically strong, and you work with accuracy.

• Your team: You are part of the operations team within BOMS with colleagues working from Papendrecht, Antwerp, Singapore and Rio de Janeiro. You work together with Fleet, Crewing, Finance, SHEQ and commercial colleagues.
• Where will you work: You will work from our office in Singapore (23 Gul Road). 
• Full/part time job: The position of operations manager is a full-time job.
