Part-Time Lecturer in Audio and Video Podcasting (WKWSCI)

We are looking for a part-time lecturer to teach this undergraduate course at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. The course will introduce students to the art and practice of podcasting across both audio-only and video format. Students will develop competencies in audio storytelling, recording, editing, and publishing while gaining hands-on experience in applying effective voice, presentation, and interviewing techniques. The course also explores strategies for audience development, content promotion, and engagement across digital platforms.

The lecturer should have strong industry experience and knowledge of the course topics. The course format consists of a total of 52 hours of instruction that includes lectures and in-class activities. The lecturer will be responsible for syllabus planning, class preparation, marking for assessment and student consultations.

Requirements:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Media, or a related humanities field.
• Expertise in podcasting, audio production, broadcasting, or digital content creation
• Demonstrated experience in producing, hosting, editing, or managing podcasts in either audio-only or video podcast formats.
