Process Engineer

Who are we looking for?

As a Process Engineer in a plating chemical manufacturing company, you will beresponsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes. Your primary goalwill be to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality while ensuring compliance withsafety and environmental regulations, and to manage the plant related capex projects.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including safety, production, qualityassurance, maintenance, and research and development, to drive continuous improvementinitiatives. Your expertise will contribute to the company's success by developing andimplementing innovative process solutions and resolving technical challenges.

What will you be doing?

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement toenhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.


• Develop and implement process optimization strategies and initiatives, includingprocess flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.


• Conduct feasibility studies and scale-up trials to ensure the successful transition ofnew processes from the laboratory to production.


• Collaborate with intercompany or research and development teams to transfer newtechnologies and provide technical support during the product development phase when required.


• Document process development activities, specifications, and validation protocols toensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


• In collaboration with the EHS team, ensure compliance with safety guidelines andregulations, including OSHA and environmental standards, by implementing properengineering controls and procedures.


• Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potentialsafety hazards in the manufacturing process.


• Apply problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, and 5 Whys to identifythe root causes of process issues and implement corrective actions.


• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, eliminate waste, andimprove overall operational efficiency.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of process changes, equipmentmodifications, and troubleshooting activities.


• Generate reports, metrics, and dashboards to communicate process performance andimprovement initiatives to management and stakeholders.

Who are You?

• Proven experience (min 5 years) working as a process engineer in the chemicalmanufacturing industry.


• Prior knowledge on facility installations for chemical manufacturing plants will be an added advantage.


• Strong understanding of process optimization methodologies, statistical analysis, andprocess control techniques.


• Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and hazard analysismethodologies.


• Proficiency in using process simulation software, statistical analysis tools, andcomputer-aided design (CAD) software.


• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functionalteams.


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion

What competencies will you need?

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry or Industrial Engineering


• Attention to details and inquisitive mindset


• Collaborative personality working in cross-functional team across region.
