A global biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Tuas is hiring an API Pharmatechnologist to support end-to-end active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production in a regulated GMP environment. This role suits candidates with solid hands-on API plant experience and strong operational discipline.

Role Overview

You will be involved in API manufacturing operations, ensuring batch execution, process adherence, and safe handling of chemical processes in compliance with GMP and EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute API unit operations including:Raw material chargingPhase separationDistillationCentrifugationDrying and pack-off activities
• Operate and monitor process control systems (e.g. DeltaV)
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP, SOPs, and safety requirements
• Support batch record documentation and process execution accuracy
• Collaborate with production, QA, and engineering teams for smooth operations
• Troubleshoot basic process deviations under supervision

Requirements

• Min Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Process Technology / related discipline

Contract Details

• 1-year contract (renewable for a further 1 year based on performance and business needs)
• Location: Tuas (industrial site)
• Salary: $2,500 – $2,800 per month
