Process Worker (Part-Time)

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Re:Nue is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community.

Re:Nue also strives to assist humanitarian needs in times of crisis and emergency, leveraging its logistics network to deliver aid to crisis areas in the region quickly and efficiently.

Working closely with local and international organisations, Re:Nue engages them in meaningful programmes for their corporate social responsibility initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check and process all donated items including clothing, toys, bric-a-brac, books, glassware, and other goods according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Categorize and sort items accurately and ensure efficient distribution to the warehouse for forwarding to retail stores.
• Support the planning and smooth operation of the sorting system, including proper packaging of items before dispatch to the warehouse.
• Ensure surrendered items such as unclaimed monies or valuables are handed over promptly to the Supervisor for reporting to the Processing Centre Management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sorting area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist in any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support the overall operations.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
• Basic literacy skills to follow sorting guidelines and recording procedures.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of The Salvation Army.

Working Days Per Week: Flexible

Work Hours: Mondays to Sundays

Full Day: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Half Day: 8.30am to 12.30pm / 1.30pm to 5.30pm
