Quality Management Intern - Part-Time

Lucence makes ultrasensitive non-invasive liquid biopsy tests to provide doctors and their patients life-changing information to enable earlier detection and effective treatment. Headquartered in Palo Alto and Singapore, Lucence supplies personalized cancer care services through twin CLIA-licensed laboratories in the United States and Singapore.

Learning Outcomes

Interns will gain insight into the inner workings of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and develop an understanding of the regulatory frameworks established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Additionally, interns will become familiar with various tools utilized in our QMS for managing documents, records, and deviations from protocol. Lastly, interns will have the opportunity to learn about diagnostic laboratory operations.

Some of the key areas you will be involved in include:

· Managing and improving QMS in compliance with MOH, CLIA and CAP standards.

· Assisting in audit preparation involving all aspects of the clinical laboratory.

· Providing support in marketing, operations, logistics, and administrative functions as required.

· Providing administrative support for clinical laboratory in the pre-analytical department as required.

· Assist the Quality Manager in duties such as the preparation of quality management reviews, external quality assurance, customer service surveys, and risk assessment and management.

To be a good fit for this role, you would have:

· Familiarity with quality management and quality control processes

· Good understanding of molecular diagnostics, especially cancer genetics, will be an advantage

· Ability to work well independently as well as in a team and have attention to detail and desire to improve current systems.
