SAP BTP Developer (3-Year Contract), IITS - Part-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Office of Integrated Information Technology Services (IITS).
• Cloud Platform Development and Maintenance
  • Develop, deploy and maintain solutions using SAP BTP services, including SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Fiori, and SAP Business Application Studio.
  • Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications on the SAP BTP platform.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to SAP development best practices, security protocols, and scalability requirements.
• SAP Integration Development
  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite (i.e., SAP Cloud Integration, SAP API Management, SAP Process Orchestration).
  • Develop RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services for seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP applications.
  • Ensure efficient integration of cloud (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur etc.) and on-premise systems.
  • Leverage SAP Business Application Studio for integration development and deployment.
• Business AI Development
  • Develop and implement AI and machine learning solutions using SAP Business AI, SAP AI Core and AI Foundation.
  • Build intelligent applications that leverage predictive analytics, natural language processing, and data-driven insights to improve business processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, project managers, business stakeholders etc.) to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and optimization.
  • Utilize SAP Conversational AI to develop and deploy chatbots for enterprise-level interactions.
• Collaboratoin and Support
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Understand business requirements and functional specifications, translate and define technical specifications and solution design documents.
  • Provide post-deployment support, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of integrated applications.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, building trust and rapport to drive project success.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
  • Document code, processes, and configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Deliver project and system documentation according to the Project Development Methodology.
  • Stay updated with and make recommendations on the latest SAP BTP features, enhancements, and best practices to continuously improve work processes and services.
  • Actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing sessions and assist team members in debugging and problem-solving.

• Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or IT
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on development experience in SAP BTP services, especially SAP Integration Suite and SAP AI Core/AI Foundation.
• Extensive experience in designing and deploying cloud-based integration solutions (SAP Cloud Integration, APIs, middleware), with ability to work with RESTful APIs, SOAP, OData services, and JSON data formats.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Fiori, and SAP Business Technology Platform's various modules and capabilities like the Business Application Studio for application development.
• Familiarity with machine learning models, data science concepts, and AI-based solution development, having experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for AI and integration development.
• Good knowledge of security protocols and cloud architecture best practices, and DevOps practices for cloud-based development and deployment.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and structured project development methodologies, with experience in agile methodologies as a significant advantage.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex issues and finding effective solutions.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with excellent decision-making capabilities and a positive attitude, demonstrating independence and initiative in exploring improvements to technical designs and solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Highly resourceful and organized, able to manage diverse tasks and priorities effectively while reconciling needs from various stakeholder groups.
• Self-driven and proactive attitude with a focus on continuous learning.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in SAP Integration Suite, AI or Machine Learning would be advantageous.
