Job Description - School Student Management And Investigation Officer (Bukit Batok) - Part-Time
Job Scope:
1. Student Incident Management
Respond promptly to student management cases, including:
Theft Physical altercations and fights Bullying and cyberbullying incidents Vandalism Misconduct and breaches of school rules Other student welfare and behavioural concerns Gather accurate and objective information regarding incidents. Conduct preliminary investigations and establish timelines of events. Ensure all students involved are treated with fairness, respect, and confidentiality. 2. Investigation and Fact-Finding
Interview students involved in incidents using appropriate questioning and communication techniques. Interview witnesses and other relevant parties to obtain a comprehensive understanding of events. Collect and review evidence where applicable, including: Written statements CCTV footage Photographs Digital communications and records Other relevant documentation Identify inconsistencies and clarify information through follow-up interviews. Maintain neutrality and objectivity throughout investigations 3. Documentation and Reporting
Prepare clear, accurate, and professional investigation reports. Summarise findings, evidence gathered, statements obtained, and timelines of events. Highlight key concerns, risk factors, and recommended follow-up actions. Submit reports to Key Personnel (KPs), Year Heads, HODs, Vice-Principals, or Principal for further decision-making and intervention. 4. Student Engagement and Support
Build positive relationships with students to facilitate open communication. Exercise empathy while maintaining professional boundaries. Support students in reflecting on their actions and understanding consequences. Work collaboratively with teachers, school counsellors, SEN Officers, and school leaders to support student development and well-being. 5. Collaboration with School Staff
Provide timely updates to relevant Key Personnel regarding ongoing cases. Coordinate with teachers to gather contextual information while minimising disruption to classroom teaching. Support school leaders in implementing follow-up actions arising from investigations. 6. Record Management
Maintain confidential records of incidents, investigations, and outcomes. Ensure documentation complies with school policies and data protection requirements. Monitor trends and recurring issues and provide reports to school leaders where necessary. Requirements: 1. Academic Qualifications
Minimum Higher Nitec or GCE “O” Level with three or more passes, including credit in English Language 2. Work Experience
Minimum 1 years of experience in similar fields. Prior experience in MOE school environment is advantageous 3. Essential Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Professional and pleasant demeanour Experience in conflict management, mediation, student discipline, or case management would be advantageous. Familiarity with school systems and student development principles is preferred. *Note: Skills assessment will be based on revious work experience and interview performance (where applicable)
Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 4:00pm , inclusive of 45 mins lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Contract Period:
Contract Period Base: 3 August 2026 to 31 July 2027. (Excluding school holidays Dec 26 and Jun 27)
Contract Period Option: 1 August 2027 to 31 July 2028. (Excluding school holidays Dec 27 and Jun 28)
