SCIENCE LAB ASSISTANT - Part-Time

We are Urgently Looking for a Science Lab assistant to work for a Prmary School

Working HOurs- • Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 2:00pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break

Location -Bukit Batok

The Duties required are set out as follows:

1. Assist subject teachers in preparation of Science lab and science apparatus for lessons

2. Assist subject teachers in conducting experiments and Science

Practical tasks

3. Maintain cleanliness of the lab, equipment and apparatus and ready

for class use

4. Collect and return items borrowed from Science Lab (with proper

recording)

5. Assist in procuring items, materials, apparatus, chemicals required for

lab

6. Maintain records for Science Room inventory

7. Assist in outdoor learning trails conducted by the school

8. Water plants in both Eco and Racial Harmony Garden. Report to HOD Science if any issues arise

9. Monitor and supervise Eco and Racial Harmony Garden landscaping and pond maintenance. Highlight any area of focus to the contractors and sign job acceptance for any maintenance done by external contractors.

9. Provide support in admin matters

10. Assist in Teaching Resource Preparation for subjects other than Science to record job done

11. Feed and clean tortoise enclosures in Racial Harmony Garden

12. Any other duties:

- To provide support in ensuring students enter and leave school safely (at the entrance and exit) in the afternoon

- Provide support in preparing materials and resources for other departments during school holidays

- Provide support as OSO (mainly cleaning job, housekeeping, packing and supervise students entering and exiting the school) during school holidays, as and when required.

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

-ITE/GCE “N” level certificate

-Good communication and inter-personal skills

-Possess positive attitude and dedication to work

-Experience working in school is preferred. However, fresh graduates are welcome.
