Senior Credit Analyst, Commodity Trading (6 Months Contract) - Part-Time

Our client is a Global Commodity Trading firm, and we are looking to hire a Senior Credit Analyst for a 6 months contract role. We are looking for candidates with strong Credit Analysis or Credit Risk experience within trading or financial services who are available on short notice.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Credit Analyst, Commodity Trading (6 months contract)

• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of counterparties, including financial analysis, industry research, and evaluation of risk factors.
• Monitor market trends and macroeconomic indicators to identify potential credit risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with trading teams to assess credit exposure and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate credit terms and structures for new transactions, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk appetite.
• Prepare detailed credit reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Participate in credit committee meetings and provide expert insights on credit-related matters.
• Maintain relationships with counterparties and external credit rating agencies.

Key Requirements for Senior Credit Analyst, Commodity Trading (6 months contract)

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in credit analysis within the commodities trading industry or financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, commodity trading, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate credit recommendations effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
