Senior Interior Designer - Part-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, develop planning layouts, and conceptualize interior designs with mood imagery and multiple design options.
• Prepare and present interior design concepts, layouts, and design intent to clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead the design development process, including schematic design, detailed drawings, and preparation of tender specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive interior design documentation for tender and quotation purposes, including FF&E selection, custom furniture design, specifications, and cut sheets.
• Conduct and document interior design coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, users and clients.
• Participate in project management and coordination of interior design works, including review and approval of shop drawings and sample submissions.
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with design intent and specifications for interior design works.
• Assist in the verification of as-built drawings, manage defect rectifications, and coordinate handover processes.
• Manage multiple interior design projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and high design standards.
• Collaborate with Director and team members to explore innovative design approaches, push creative boundaries, and drive delivery excellence.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an interior design consultancy, with proven experience in healthcare design projects and project management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Revit/BIM and other relevant design software. Familiarity with visualization tools such as 3D Max is an added advantage.
• Strong skills in design development, construction documentation, detailing, and FF&E.
• Solid understanding of spatial planning and the ability to integrate client and user needs and interior design context into design solutions.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and an effective team player with strong initiative and a positive work ethic.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and lead project teams effectively.
