Technical Translator & Interpreter - Part-Time

KeyResponsibilities

• Technical Translation: Translate technical documents, including engineering specifications, manuals, reports, and drawings.
• Interpretation Services: Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation for meetings, site visits, technical discussions, and vendor negotiations.
• Terminology Control: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and correct usage of specialized engineering terminology in both written and spoken communications.
• Quality Assurance: Review and proofread translated materials prior to final submission.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with project leads and engineers to clarify technical details and facilitate communication.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Translation or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical,Electrical, Chemical, or related fields).
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken). Working knowledge of Malay is highly preferred.
• Translation Experience: Proven experience in technical translation or technical writing within engineering or technical domains.
• Core Competencies: Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of consistently meeting project deadlines.
