Merchant Acquisition Specialist - 12 Months Contract - S$Nego - Part-Time

We are seeking a Merchant Acquisition Specialist to drive merchant onboarding, partnership development, and engagement across digital commerce and payment platforms. This role will focus on pitching and negotiating with prospective merchants, managing their integration journey, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver long-term value and growth.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet, pitch, and lead negotiations with assigned or prospective merchant leads to secure onboarding, particularly for digital commerce and payment platforms.
• Champion the organization’s offerings as the preferred partner for merchants.
• Build and maintain strong merchant relationships, ensuring performance and contribution to the wider merchant network.
• Oversee merchant activity and engagement throughout the onboarding journey.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor activity to inform strategies that address evolving merchant needs.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of all products and services offered.
• Manage daily merchant queries (commercial and operational) to ensure seamless onboarding and post-onboarding processes.
• Work with teams across payments, advertising, and rewards to align strategies and enhance merchant value through cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field.
• At least 6 months of experience in Sales, Business Development, or related roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong ability to establish and manage partnerships with diverse merchants, ensuring long-term collaboration and effective query resolution.
• Solid understanding of market trends and ability to adapt strategies to meet changing merchant requirements.
• Skilled in pitching and negotiating with merchants to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals.
• Ability to analyze sales data and extract insights that inform strategic decisions.
