Retail Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic retail duties such as operating cash register and up-keeping of retail environment
• Assist in inspecting and evaluating customers' leather and luxury goods
• Communicate with customers regarding customised leather goods
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist in maintaining stocks, displaying stocks and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
• Directing customers to merchandise within the store
• Introduce sales promotion and up-selling appropriate products and services
• Assist in leather repair if needed 
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Able to work retail hours
• Able to work weekends and public holidays
• Able to commit for a minimum of 3 months
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Able to think on your feet to handle any customer dispute
• Friendly and outgoing
• Passionate about luxury bags, repair work and customised leather goods is preferred
• Organised, patient and able to manage time independently
• Meticulous and have an eye for details
• Proactive to come up with new ideas
• Experience in leather works or using a sewing machine is preferred
