Job Description - Senior Officer/Manager, Business Development And Account Management (Contract) - Part-Time

Job Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop value propositions and business cases.
  • Support strategic account development and customer acquisition.
  • Drive customer retention and revenue growth initiatives.

Key Account Management

  • Manage relationships with key research institutions and strategic users.
  • Conduct regular engagement sessions to review project utilisation and resource usage.
  • Gather user feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Work with technical and operations teams to resolve issues and enhance user experience.

Market Intelligence and Pricing Competitiveness

  • Conduct periodic benchmarking of commercial cloud and HPC service providers.
  • Analyse market trends, pricing models, and service offerings.
  • Support pricing reviews and cost recovery strategies.
  • Provide recommendations to maintain the company's competitiveness and sustainability.

Strategic Partnership and Industry Development

  • Develop partnerships with technology providers, cloud service providers, HPC centres, research institutions, and industry stakeholders.
  • Explore collaboration opportunities, resource-sharing arrangements, and ecosystem-building initiatives.
  • Support the development of proposals, MOUs, partnership frameworks, and engagement plans.
  • Monitor partnership outcomes and alignment with the company's mission and national priorities.

Engagement Activities

  • Support the planning and delivery of events, workshops, and outreach activities.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of the company's capabilities within research and industry communities.
  • Contribute to internal collaboration and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Senior Officer: Preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience in business development and account management.
  • Manager: Preferably 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, account management, partnerships, consulting, public sector planning, or R&D ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and develop practical recommendations.
