12 Months Bank IT Application Support Analyst #BYR - Part-Time

Position Overview

Seeking an Application Production Support Analyst (L2) to support Supply Chain and Trade Finance applications globally. This role ensures a stable, resilient production environment, handling incident resolution, system monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 L2 production support across global applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including root cause analysis and workaround solutions
• Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation
• Coordinate with development teams and vendors to deliver permanent fixes
• Monitor systems proactively and enhance alerting and preventive controls
• Support application releases, change management, and maintenance activities
• Participate in disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BCP), and live run activities
• Perform end-of-day/month batch support and regular system maintenance
• Support IT security checks, including post-patch validations
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base, and support cross-training initiatives
• Drive process improvements to enhance system stability and efficiency

Technical Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with Unix/Linux commands and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of Java/J2EE web-based applications and infrastructure

Technical Skills (Good to Have)

• Exposure to technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, TIBCO, Oracle/MS SQL, APIs, Linux/Windows
• Familiarity with integration tools and protocols (SFTP, MQ, CFT)
• Knowledge of monitoring and DevOps tools (Autosys, Geneos, Dynatrace, Jenkins, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of IT security practices (SSL/TLS, PKI, encryption)
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
• Database performance tuning and deployment experience is a plus
