Analyst Programmer (Java) (JD#11079) - Part-Time

Job Summary

We are hiring for Analyst Programmer (Java) to be part of the software engineering team in designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining mission critical application systems with exposure to microservices architecture.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology & Engineering;
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development using Java technologies;
• Experience in system design (include database design), development, quality assurance and maintenance of web based Java enterprise systems;
• Must have experience using Java Enterprise Edition or Spring (Batch, Boot, Web) and Microservices;
• Must have experience in Development of Web-based applications using framework such as Angular/AngularJS, React, Struts;
• Must have experience in Development of application using Persistence framework such as Hibernate, JPA;
• Experience in using one or more of the following: AJAX, JSF, XML, HTML, Javascript;
• Experience using Integrated Development Environment (IDEs) such as Eclipse or JDeveloper or Netbeans;
• Working architecture concepts on message system (e.g. IBM MQ), rule engines, SOA as well as responsive web design;
• Must have experience in development of webservices, restful services;
• Working experience in using Webserver like Apache Webserver, Microsoft IIS;
• Working experience in COBOL, CICS and DB2;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of both independent work and effective collaboration.

Desired Skill-set

• Familiar in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Part of the software team - involve in requirements analysis, contribute to system design and involve in the development, testing, and deployment of applications;
• Collaborate effectively with other engineers to integrate software components, system infrastructure, and third-party components;
• Design and develop APIs within a microservices-based architecture;
• Work closely with business users and application testers to identify and rectify defects;
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless operation;
• Involve in Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing and System Integration Testing;
• Assist in the deployment via CI/CD pipeline and code repository using GitLab;
• Troubleshoot deployment issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to optimize deployment workflows.
