Application Developer - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x to deliver scalable and efficient services
• Design, build, and support microservices and REST/Graph QL APIs to enable seamless integration and data exchange
• Implement authentication and authorization solutions using Okta to secure applications and user access
• Integrate APIs and services using MuleSoft to streamline communication between systems
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS services including ECS, EC2, and RDS to ensure high availability and performance
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate and manage cloud infrastructure consistently
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, AWS Code Commit, and Code Pipeline to accelerate software delivery
• Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and other relational databases to support application data needs
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using Grafana and AWS CloudWatch to maintain system reliability

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development
• 3+ years of experience with Okta for authentication/authorization
• 3+ years of experience with MuleSoft for API integration
