Application Support Analyst - Contract - Part-Time

We're looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our client's team and play a key role in bridging business needs with technical solutions.

You'll support Java and COBOL applications post-implementation, write and optimize SQL, and work closely with project leads and users to keep our systems running smoothly and improving.

What You'll Do

• Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Analyze and design new enhancements and improvements to existing functionality.

• Perform data mining and testing to ensure enhancements meet business needs.

• Assist with Java application development and troubleshooting post-implementation.

• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.

• Support client project leads and users with technical issues and system performance.

• Identify and fix technical issues related to Java/COBOL applications and SQL databases.

• Analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.

• Work closely with technical teams and business project leads/users to ensure smooth communication.

• Contribute to system improvements and process automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 1+ year of experience working with Java and SQL.

• 1+ year of experience in BAU (Business-As-Usual) support.

• 1+ year of experience in Implementation (SDLC) and Change Request work.

• Prior technical support experience is a plus.
