Application Tester - Part-Time

We are looking for an experienced Application Tester with strong experience in software quality assurance, manual testing, and test automation. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in testing web-based applications across desktop and mobile browsers, with the ability to deliver high-quality test results within agreed timelines. The role involves developing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, tracking test results, identifying defects, and working closely with developers, project managers, and business users to ensure that applications meet business and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish test strategies, design test plans, and prepare detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop and execute manual, automated, UI, functional, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Review requirements documents and develop new test cases and additional test parameters where required.
• Execute SIT testing with the development team and ensure defects are properly identified, tracked, fixed, and retested before UAT.
• Review and track test case documents, test execution results, defect logs, and automation test outcomes.
• Work on existing automation testing frameworks and support ongoing enhancements to automation test suites.
• Learn and maintain in-house test automation frameworks for current and upcoming projects.
• Assist in reviewing automation test results and support the rollout of automated test case fixes.
• Perform testing across various application modules in line with business requirements and project timelines.
• Write test plans, define test cases, analyse results, and coordinate with developers to resolve defects.
• Execute performance and load tests where required.
• Provide support during UAT for ongoing and new projects.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure high-quality test deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Testing Engineer or QA Tester.
• Strong experience in both manual testing and automated testing.
• Good experience in testing web-based applications across desktop and mobile browsers.
• Hands-on experience in writing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports.
• Experience in working independently on test automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of SIT, UAT, regression testing, functional testing, UI testing, performance testing, and load testing.
• Proven experience using testing tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, JUnit, and JMeter.
• Strong defect tracking, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with development and project teams.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality results within tight timelines.
