About the Job

We are seeking a senior, specialized Business Analyst with hands-on Avaloq banking system experience for a 6-month contract opportunity. In this role, you will serve as a core Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for evaluating our current private banking/wealth workflows, identifying complex user requirements, and designing target future-state system architectures.

This is a highly collaborative, techno-functional role where you will act as a bridge between frontline business units, risk teams, and technical configuration squads. You will take ownership of cross-functional team decisions, run requirement-validation workshops, and formulate scalable solutions that seamlessly integrate Avaloq's core technology with our digital banking ecosystem to optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Avaloq System Analysis: Analyze, document, and map out end-to-end wealth management and private banking business processes directly against Avaloq core functionality and data layers.

• Solution Design & Target State: Translate intricate customer, regulatory, and operational requirements into scalable business solutions, detailed functional specifications, and future-state system workflows.

• Cross-Functional Solutioning: Engage across multiple systems tracks (e.g., portfolio management, compliance, or core ledger) to diagnose system issues and deliver cross-team problem-solving frameworks.

• Stakeholder Facilitation: Plan, manage, and facilitate structured workshops and scoping meetings with senior stakeholders to gather technical requirements and validate proposed technology designs.

• Data-Driven Strategic Advisory: Perform data analysis across banking operations to uncover process bottlenecks, identify technology enhancement opportunities, and deliver insights that influence strategic technical roadmaps.

• Documentation & Governance: Author comprehensive process maps, technical specification logs, and standard operational runbooks, ensuring absolute alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory for Skills Matching)

• Avaloq Core Banking System: Proven hands-on business analysis and functional/technical experience working directly with the Avaloq platform.

• Wealth Management / Private Banking Domain: Deep functional understanding of private banking business processes, investment product life cycles, or portfolio management structures.

• Requirements Lifecycle Management: Demonstrated track record in end-to-end requirements gathering, drafting comprehensive Business/Functional Requirement Documents (BRD/FRD), and facilitating target-state design workshops.

• Process Documentation: Advanced proficiency in mapping complex corporate banking workflows and translating them into technical integration flows.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Avaloq Scripting, parameterization principles, or Object-Oriented software structures.

• Understanding of interface patterns connecting Avaloq core to external web services or mobile banking frontends (APIs).

• Experience supporting testing phases (SIT/UAT), test script definitions, or deployment cutover tracks in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.

Qualifications & Engagement Terms

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Banking & Finance, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

• Exceptional interpersonal and consultative communication skills.
