Citrix VDI L2 Engineer - Part-Time

Role Summary

Responsible for providing Level 2 (L2) production support for the Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of Citrix services. The role involves incident resolution, change implementation, system monitoring, automation, and collaborating with L1, L3, and project teams to support enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for Citrix VDI, resolving escalated incidents and service requests from L1.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of the Citrix environment.
• Execute planned changes, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities through change management processes.
• Perform root cause analysis, manage problem tickets, and drive service improvements.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell/VB scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Windows, Network, Virtualization, Security) to resolve complex issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, technology upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide on-call support and work in a 24x7 global production support environment.

Key Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience supporting enterprise Citrix VDI environments, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
• Strong hands-on experience with Citrix CVAD 7.x, PVS, NetScaler/ADC, Hyper-V, and Windows Server 2016/2022.
• Solid Windows Server administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with PowerShell, VB Scripting, Altiris, and Ivanti/AppSense.
• Knowledge of virtualization, VDI management, and application packaging.
• Experience with incident, change, and problem management in a production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work rotational global shifts and provide on-call support.
