Commodity Market Analyst Intern - Part-Time

We are looking for a Commodity Market Analyst Intern to support our trading and research team through AI-assisted market analysis. The intern will help collect, summarize, and analyse commodity market information, including news, research reports, policy updates, supply-demand data, and market sentiment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use AI tools to summarize commodity news, research reports, and market commentary.
• Build a multi-commodity futures K-line database and apply AI-based natural language querying for historical price analysis and market pattern retrieval.
• Assist in building AI-driven market sentiment indicators based on public articles and research views.
• Maintain commodity fundamental databases, including inventory, production, imports, margins, basis, spreads, and price structures.
• Support the preparation of daily or weekly commodity market reports.
• Use Excel, Python, and AI tools to improve data processing, visualization, and research automation.
• Assist traders in reviewing market moves, identifying key drivers, and organizing trading logic.

Requirements:

• You are an undergraduate or graduate student from mathematics, engineering, computer science, or computer engineering. Other majors are also welcomed but coding skill (Python) is required.
• Good analytical, writing, and information-processing skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar platforms.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good understanding of Python data analysis, web scraping, or text analysis.
• Interest in AI-driven trading research, sentiment analysis, and automated report generation.
• Experience in commodity research, futures trading, macro research, or quantitative analysis would be a plus.
