Cyber Security Engineer (Tenable) - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Tenable solutions (Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, Nessus).
• Perform enterprise vulnerability assessments across servers, endpoints, network devices, cloud workloads, and applications.
• Analyze vulnerability findings, prioritize remediation, and coordinate with stakeholders for closure.
• Tune scanning policies, credentialed scans, dashboards, and reporting for operational efficiency.
• Support patch validation, remediation tracking, and risk-based vulnerability management.
• Integrate Tenable with SIEM, ticketing, cloud, and security platforms.
• Manage vulnerability response for critical threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and compliance findings.
• Support security audits, governance requirements, and reporting activities.
• Work closely with cloud, infrastructure, SOC, and engineering teams on security improvements.
• Contribute to automation, scripting, and operational optimization initiatives.

Mandatory Skills / Requirements

Strong hands-on Tenable implementation and engineering – Deployment, configuration, administration, tuning, scan policy management, credentialed scans, dashboards, reporting, and remediation tracking using Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, Nessus

Must have - Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, Nessus

Enterprise Vulnerability Management – Vulnerability assessments across servers, endpoints, cloud, network, databases, and applications with remediation coordination and risk prioritization

Must have - Vulnerability Management, Risk Prioritization, Remediation Tracking

Security engineering experience beyond monitoring/support – Experience handling deployment, optimization, integrations, troubleshooting, and operational ownership

Managing critical vulnerabilities and zero-day incidents – Root cause analysis, remediation coordination, patch validation, and security advisory handling.

Must have - Incident Response, Vulnerability Remediation

Integration experience – Integration of Tenable with SIEM, ticketing systems, cloud platforms, CMDB, or security tools

Security solution rollout from POC to production – UAT, implementation, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and operational transition

Networking and operating systems knowledge – Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, Linux/Unix, Windows, AD, and security hardening

Scripting and automation capability – Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or automation for vulnerability management operations

Certifications preferred – Tenable certifications, Security+, CySA+, CEH, cloud security certifications
