Cybersecurity Project Manager (Banking, Contract) - Part-Time

Overview

The Cybersecurity Project Manager drives end-to-end delivery of critical security programs within the highly regulated banking sector. The successful hire will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Risk, and Compliance to ensure security enhancements meet organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end execution of enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs (e.g., IAM, PAM, Cloud Security, Network Segmentation) ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Regulatory Compliance: Conduct regulatory and security fit-gap assessments, oversee remediation plans, and ensure alignment with banking frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate seamlessly with Cybersecurity, IT, Risk, Compliance, and business units to ensure strategic alignment and project buy-in.
• Project Governance: Monitor project milestones, handle risk management, mitigate dependencies, and provide regular executive dashboards and status reports.
• Vendor Management: Track third-party vendor performance, resource allocation, and budget tracking.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Min. of 5 years of relevant Cybersecurity project management experience, ideally within Banking or Financial Services.
• Security Knowledge: Foundational understanding of cybersecurity domains like Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), SOC, and Vulnerability Management.
• Platform Exposure: Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (e.g., CyberArk, SailPoint, Splunk) and network access control frameworks.
• Methodologies: Strong command of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery models.
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, or CISM will be advantageous
• *Comfortable with project-based contract arrangements.
