Data Engineer / Data Specialist - Part-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Data Specialist to support the development of a centralized data hub at . The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical consultants to design, model, and implement scalable data solutions that support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with leading data integration specialists while contributing to a strategic data transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and understand business requirements for data integration and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize data hub use cases.
• Design and maintain logical and physical data models.
• Develop and manage data schemas to support enterprise data architecture.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and integrity across multiple data sources.
• Work closely with Denodo consultants in designing and implementing virtualized data solutions.
• Support data validation, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Produce technical documentation including data dictionaries, mapping documents, and design specifications.
• Participate in solution reviews and recommend improvements to data management practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in data engineering, data management, or data analytics projects.
• Strong understanding of:Data ModellingData Schema DesignData Quality ManagementData IntegrationMetadata Management
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Denodo is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of data virtualization concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance and master data management concepts.
