Data Scientist (Contract) - Part-Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Own data science problems end-to-end: from framing the business question, through modelling, to deployment and measuring real-world impact.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for prediction, classification, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Apply LLMs and generative AI where they're the right tool — prompt pipelines, RAG, and API integrations with foundation models.
• Perform exploratory analysis and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders — your findings should drive decisions
• Partner with our data analyst and IIoT connectivity team to define the data requirements your models need
• Work with PM and IT peers to translate business problems into AI solutions

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• At least 2 years of experience in Data Science or ML engineering, with models or data products that reached production.
• Strong Python and SQL, plus solid fundamentals in statistics and the standard ML toolkit (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost or similar).
• Hands-on exposure to LLMs: prompt engineering, RAG, or integrating model APIs (e.g. Azure OpenAI, or open-source models).
• Experience in the manufacturing industry — familiarity with industrial data (sensors, MES/ERP systems) or supply chain management is a strong advantage.
