Financial Data Analyst (Data Reporting & SQL), Contract Role - Part-Time

Our client, a global technology leader specializing in search, digital platforms, cloud computing, and data-driven innovation, is seeking a Financial Data Analyst/Product Analyst to support financial reporting and analytics through data extraction, SQL scripting, and reporting automation. This role will focus on generating and transforming large financial datasets, building SQL-based reporting solutions, and delivering actionable insights to support business and finance stakeholders.

This is a fixed term contract ending on the 14 Dec 2026 with possibilities for extension thereafter

Responsibilities

• Extract, validate, and analyze financial data from databases, data warehouses, and ERP systems using SQL.
• Write and maintain SQL scripts to support reporting, data analysis, and financial insights.
• Interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Support recurring financial reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and reporting automation initiatives.
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and deliver actionable insights.

Requirements

• Up to 6 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Product Analytics, FP&A Analytics, Financial Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related roles.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to independently write and optimize complex queries and scripts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into business recommendations.
• Strong financial domain knowledge with experience analyzing P&L, revenue, costs, budgets, or financial performance metrics.
• Proven experience extracting and working with large datasets from platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Experience with Excel and BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
