Infrastructure Engineer - Part-Time

To ensure the availability, security and optimal performance of the organisation's IT infrastructure and cloud platforms. The role is responsible for administering and maintaining servers, virtualisation environments, network infrastructure, and cloud services, while providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting. Working closely with cybersecurity and operations teams, the incumbent ensures a resilient, secure, and compliant hybrid IT environment that supports business continuity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

• Administer and support Windows Server (2012–2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and Office 365 environments.
• Manage and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure including provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting workloads.
• Spearhead migration of on-prem devices to cloud infrastructure and vice versa if needed
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools, including restoration of systems and files as needed.
• Perform administration and troubleshooting of networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs).
• Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to perform security patching, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform root cause analysis, develop preventive measures, and document resolutions.
• Support capacity planning, system upgrades, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IT service delivery processes and documentation standards, aligned with ITIL practices.
• Coordinate and support internal and external IT audits contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including regular testing.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and IT support staff.
• Any other duties as per assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure administration, with demonstrated expertise in hybrid IT environments.
• Hands-on experience in: Windows Server, Active Directory, Network, Linux and Virtualization Administration
• Participate in standby/on-call and perform after-hours maintenance when required.
