IT Infrastructure Engineer (System Administration) – Contract - Part-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise infrastructure systems supporting a mission-critical fare system across on-premises and cloud environments, driving reliability, security, and automation improvements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain infrastructure hardware, operating systems, and software platforms to ensure continuous availability and performance of the fare collection system
• Provision, install, configure, and operate Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to optimize service delivery and prevent downtime
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and system issues to maintain operational stability
• Support middleware platforms including WebSphere Application Server and IBM MQ to ensure seamless integration and messaging
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to uphold system reliability and operational excellence
• Participate in research and development initiatives to innovate and improve infrastructure capabilities
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, operational procedures, and technical knowledge bases
• Support infrastructure automation and configuration management efforts using scripting and relevant tools
• Manage infrastructure operations across both on-premises and Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) platforms

Required competencies and certifications

• Hands-on experience administering Linux and Windows server infrastructure in enterprise environments
• Proven ability to manage production systems in high-availability settings
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve infrastructure-related problems effectively
• Relevant certifications in Red Hat Linux and/or Microsoft technologies

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) environments
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible
• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD practices for automation
• Cloud infrastructure administration and automation expertise

• Employment Type: Contract (30 Months)
• Work Arrangement: Full Onsite
• Salary: SGD 6,500 – SGD 8,500 per month (No Bonus)
