Position: IT Infrastructure Engineer (System Administration)

Responsibilities:

The scope of IT Infrastructure Engineer (System Administration) shall include the following:

• Working with a system infrastructure team;

• Responsible for the operations, support, maintenance, research and development to ensure continual innovation of the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system;

• Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for on-premise environment and on Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC);

• Participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure;

• Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners; and

• Accountable for the following systems: o Red Hat Linux and Windows; o Middleware includes WebSphere Application Servers, WebSphere Message Queue.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised degree with a technical major such as engineering, data communications or computer science. Diploma holders with relevant experience and expertise will be considered;

• System Engineer certification in Red Hat Linux and/or Microsoft including Cloud;

• Minimum 3 years system administration experience;

• Good written and verbal communication skills;

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills;

• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;

• Knowledge and experience in Red Hat Linux scripting; and

• The skills for the following will be considered as an advantage: o AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCC o Terraform and Ansible o Gitlab
