Job Description - IT Software Developer - Part-Time

Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain application features across the Angular frontend, Java Spring Boot backend and MySQL database, leveraging AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and code quality.
Build user interfaces, backend APIs and business logic, database schemas and queries, system integration, defect fixing, performance tuning, deployment support, and technical documentation, with the support of AI assisted tools to accelerate delivery and enhance consistency.
Develop and execute unit tests for frontend and backend modules, including the use of AI-assisted techniques to improve test coverage and identify edge cases;
Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with the Authority’s coding standards and best practices (i.e. OWASP Secure Coding Practices);
Support application build, packaging, and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues identified during development, testing, or production operation, leveraging AI-assisted diagnostics and analysis tools to improve resolution efficiency.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system design, API specifications, and database documentation.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, participate in agile delivery activities, and ensure delivered components are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
Manage Tech Projects for systems operational and maintenance works together with new initiatives/enhancements that are outsourced to our existing ICT O&M contractors; and
Collaborate with business & technology stakeholders, work closely with external parties, ICT providers or government agencies to drive new initiatives/enhancements
