QA Lead Engineer – 12-Month Renewable Contract

Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead Engineer to lead testing activities across enterprise applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both manual and automation testing, stakeholder management, and leading QA teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities including Functional, Integration, System, Regression, API, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Define and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test schedules.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Coordinate testing activities with developers, business users, and project stakeholders.
• Manage defect tracking, triage discussions, and resolution processes.
• Support release planning and ensure quality standards are met before production deployment.
• Monitor testing progress, risks, and quality metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide QA team members on testing best practices and automation techniques.
• Drive continuous improvements in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering.
• Proven experience leading testing activities or QA teams.
• Strong experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, End-to-End, API, and UAT testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or equivalent.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
