Job Description - Marketing Automation Engineer, Contract Role (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) - Part-Time

Our client is a leading global technology company seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to drive the planning, execution, and optimization of data-driven marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels. This role combines marketing operations, automation, and analytics to deliver personalized customer engagement at scale across global markets.

This is a 12-month contract role ending on 31 December 2026, with the potential for renewal subject to business needs and meeting performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build, and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other digital channels.
  • Develop audience segmentation and targeting strategies using SQL to support personalized marketing initiatives.
  • Design, build, and optimize automated marketing workflows using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and AMPscript.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and analytics teams to translate business objectives into scalable campaign strategies.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and recommend optimizations to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity across marketing platforms and systems.
  • Document workflows, standard operating procedures, and best practices to support operational excellence and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing operations, CRM marketing, marketing automation, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, audience segmentation, and campaign analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and AMPscript.
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing omnichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation and customer targeting strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate campaign data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
