Mass Production Materials Planner Contract - Part-Time

Job Summary

The Mass Production Materials Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials to manufacturing partners, enabling the production and deployment of compute, storage, and AI racks to data centres and warehouses. This role involves managing material flow, optimizing supply chain processes, and building excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Materials Procurement & Logistics: Coordinate with ODMs, stakeholders, and vendors to manage procurement, logistics, and readiness for BOM across programs. Place purchase orders (POs) as directed.
• Materials Planning & MRP Execution: Collaborate with supply/demand teams to maintain accurate subcomponent data, ensure on-time delivery, and drive MRP readiness.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate material risks such as shortages or disruptions, engaging with commodity vendors to ensure delivery.
• Supplier & Partner Management: Build good relationships with stakeholders, ODMs, and suppliers, managing schedules and capacities.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze demand/supply reports, track KPIs, and collaborate with inventory leads to optimize stock levels.
• Material Allocation Support: Partner with teams to support allocation decisions that maximize rack supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Around 5 years of experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in the technology industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working across multi-disciplinary teams and time zones.
• Exposure to computer manufacturing, production, and configuration.
• Ability to quickly grasp hardware terminology and configuration components.
• Experience interfacing with partners in entrepreneurial, cross-functional environments.
