MS SharePoint Consultant - Part-Time

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Consultant to support the enhancement, maintenance, and administration of enterprise SharePoint platforms. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing SharePoint solutions while ensuring compliance with established IT governance standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in SharePoint development and administration, workflow automation, cloud-based platform upgrades, and application support within enterprise environments.

Do note that this is a 6 months contract role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise SharePoint applications and intranet platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective SharePoint solutions.
• Develop and maintain workflows using Nintex Workflow, PowerShell scripts, and JavaScript to automate business processes.
• Perform SharePoint administration, platform maintenance, security patching, and system health monitoring.
• Plan and execute SharePoint platform upgrades, including cutover activities, rollback planning, and post-upgrade validation.
• Provide operational support, troubleshoot incidents, and optimise platform performance following IT service management best practices.
• Conduct system testing across Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and user guides to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development and administration within enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint platforms, including SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019, or SharePoint Subscription Edition.
• Experience developing workflows using Nintex Workflow, along with scripting using PowerShell and JavaScript.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise application upgrades or migrations in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of incident, problem, and change management practices aligned with ITIL methodologies.
• Experience conducting Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT with strong troubleshooting and issue resolution capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within public sector or highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Exposure to Government Commercial Cloud (GCC/GCC+) or similar cloud platforms.
• Microsoft SharePoint or related Microsoft certifications.
• Experience with secure file transfer solutions and enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Familiarity with IT governance, cybersecurity compliance, and infrastructure best practices.
