Murex Datamart Architect - Part-Time

Job Description

·      The Datamart Architect is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of Murex MX.3 Datamart reporting solutions across Back Office and Finance domains within a banking transformation programme. 

·      The role involves working closely with Operations, Settlements, Finance Controllers, and Technology teams to gather reporting requirements, configure Datamart solutions, develop reports, perform reconciliations, and support testing activities. 

Key Responsibilities:: 

·       Requirements & Solution Design 

·      Gather and analyse reporting requirements from Back Office and Finance stakeholders. 

·      Prepare Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), and report specifications. 

·      Design reporting solutions aligned with the Murex MX.3 Datamart architecture and reporting framework.

·      Datamart Development & Configuration 

·      Configure Datamart components including Dynamic Tables, Feeders, Processing Scripts, Extractions, and Filters. 

·      Develop and support reports covering: Settlement & Confirmation Reporting Nostro & Position Reconciliation Cash & Payment Reporting P&L Attribution & Explain MTM Valuation Reporting Accruals & Amortisation Ledger Reconciliation & Accounting Validation 

·      Maintain report mappings, data lineage, and reporting inventories. 

·      Testing & Validation 

·      Perform data reconciliation and report validation against MX.3 and source systems. 

·      Support SIT, UAT, defect analysis, and production deployment activities. 

·       Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies and data quality issues. 

·       Stakeholder Management 

·      Work closely with Operations, Finance, Product Control, and Technology teams. 

·      Provide reporting status updates and support business users during testing and implementation. 

·      Contribute to knowledge transfer and documentation activities. 

Required Experience 

·      5–8 years of Murex MX.3 Datamart experience within Corporate Banking, Treasury, or Capital Markets environments. 

·       Hands-on experience with: Dynamic Tables (PL, CS, DT, MV, LRB) Feeders & Batch of Feeders Processing Scripts Extractions Datamart Reporting Objects 

·       Experience delivering Back Office and Finance reports within Murex. 

·       Strong understanding of: Murex Reporting Architecture Murex Data Model & FIN Schema Trade Lifecycle Processing Settlements, Accounting, P&L, and Valuation Reporting 

·       Knowledge of capital markets products including FX, Money Markets, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Equities. 

Technical Skills:: 

·      Murex MX.3 Datamart Reporting 

·      SQL (Oracle / Sybase) 

·      Data Reconciliation & Validation 

·      Control-M / Batch Scheduling 

 Unix/Linux & Shell Scripting 

·      Excel & Reporting Analysis 

·      BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, MicroStrategy) 

·       SWIFT Messaging Knowledge (Preferred)"
