Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end performance testing activities for software applications and systems.
Define and implement performance test strategies, test plans, workload models, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter or equivalent.
Conduct performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity testing.
Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for performance tuning and optimization.
Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, database, network, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
Monitor application and infrastructure performance using performance monitoring tools and dashboards.
Ensure performance testing activities are integrated into project delivery and release cycles.
Prepare and present performance test reports, findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Establish performance testing standards, best practices, and governance within the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience leading performance testing initiatives for medium to large-scale enterprise systems.
Proven experience in designing and executing performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity testing.
Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter or equivalent.
Good understanding of application architecture, web technologies, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of database concepts and SQL, with the ability to analyze database-related performance issues.
Experience analyzing application, infrastructure, network, and database performance bottlenecks.
Experience working in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and release management processes.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
