Platform Software Engineer (12-Months Contract) - Part-Time

Our client is a leading global technology company that operates one of the world's largest consumer and developer platforms, serving billions of users worldwide. Through its digital ecosystem, the company empowers developers and partners to build engaging experiences, reach global audiences, and drive innovation at scale.

They are currently seeking a Software Engineer to work closely with external developers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable integrations, resolve technical challenges, and drive successful platform adoption with the gaming industry.

This is a 12-months contract role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with external developers to resolve complex technical and integration issues.
• Build, debug, and modify production-quality code across platform systems.
• Collaborate with product engineering, partnerships, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Translate technical and product requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
• Influence product direction through data-driven insights and partner feedback.
• Conduct code reviews, uphold engineering best practices, and contribute to shared knowledge within the team.
• Maintain strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across regions.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience as a software engineer supporting large-scale platforms/e-commerce platforms.
• Strong proficiency in open-source programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript frameworks).
• Experience in the gaming industry will be good to have.
• Experience with software design, architecture, and maintainable system development.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with data at scale or using analytics to drive decisions.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
