Project Manager - Cybersecurity (Contract) - Part-Time

The client is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and support key cybersecurity initiatives, including regulatory fit-gap assessments, Privileged Access Management (PAM) enhancements, and network segmentation improvements. This role is responsible for driving project governance, managing stakeholder engagement, overseeing project delivery, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with cybersecurity strategies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cybersecurity projects and strategic initiatives across the organization.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and overall delivery.
• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and executive management updates.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Support project governance processes, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Conduct fit-gap assessments against regulatory and security requirements and oversee remediation planning and execution.
• Drive cybersecurity initiatives to strengthen security controls and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Support the enhancement of privileged identity onboarding processes, including integrations with CyberArk, SailPoint, Splunk, and related platforms.
• Partner with technology and security teams to enhance network segmentation and strengthen security architecture.
• Facilitate project meetings, monitor deliverables, and ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.
• Track project budgets, vendor performance, resource allocation, and utilization to support effective project governance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in project and/or program management.
• Proven experience managing cybersecurity, technology, or banking-related projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Solid understanding of project governance, budgeting, risk management, and project reporting.
• Experience performing fit-gap assessments against regulatory, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience working within banking or financial services environments.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity domains, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Security Operations Centre (SOC), Cloud Security, and Vulnerability Management.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity platforms such as CyberArk, SailPoint, Splunk, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of network security, network segmentation, and access control frameworks.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity transformation, governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives within the banking or financial services sector.
