Project Manager (Data Center Migration) - Part-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly technical and organized Data Center Move Project Manager to lead the end-to-end relocation of our critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will orchestrate complex, zero-downtime migrations, coordinating IT, facilities, and vendor teams while strictly adhering to budget and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy: Develop and manage the transition plan for the DC relocation
• Infrastructure Management: Lead the physical and logical relocation of servers, storage, and networking systems, ensuring zero compromise on IT security best practices.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including network engineering, facilities, security, and third-party vendors.
• Risk & Continuity Management: Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure projects meet uptime, reliability, and business continuity requirements.
• Compliance & Governance: Structure the project with a strong focus on legal, data privacy, tax considerations, and data transfer regulations.
• Stakeholder Reporting: Act as the primary point of contact for leadership, providing executive reports, progress dashboards, and transition updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10+ years in IT infrastructure or functional project management, with a specific focus on data center migration methodologies.
• Technical Acumen: Strong working knowledge of critical mission-critical infrastructure components, including power, cooling, and high/low-voltage systems.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar transition-specific methodology certifications (e.g., ITIL) are highly preferred.
