Job Description – QA Tester (LifeAsia / Watermelon)

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Tester with experience in LifeAsia or Watermelon to join a leading insurance technology team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of core life insurance applications by planning, executing, and managing testing activities across system enhancements, projects, and production releases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of life insurance business processes and hands-on experience testing LifeAsia or Watermelon applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, system integration, regression, user acceptance support, and end-to-end testing.
• Test enhancements and production fixes within LifeAsia or Watermelon systems.
• Validate policy administration processes, including new business, underwriting, policy servicing, claims, billing, and renewals.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and business users to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and release management.
• Prepare test evidence, execution reports, and defect summaries.
• Ensure testing activities comply with project timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a QA/Test Analyst.
• Hands-on testing experience with LifeAsia or Watermelon insurance platforms.
• Good understanding of Life Insurance policy administration processes.
• Experience preparing test cases from business requirements.
• Strong experience in:
• Functional Testing
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Regression Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
• Experience using defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or Quality Center.
• Ability to analyse requirements and identify test scenarios.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
