Quality Assurance Analyst - Part-Time

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst, and your task orientation is as follows. The role sits within an energy and commodities client, so ideally we are looking for someone with a relevant background in the same field.

Job role:

• Develop robust test strategies, plans, and cases aligned to business and technical requirements, working alongside BAs to design functional and regression scenarios and providing effort estimates for complex changes.
• Maintain clear test documentation in Confluence, tracking scope and progress against plan to support confident Go/No-Go decision-making.
• Independently lead UAT from end to end - agreeing scope with users, coordinating environments and stakeholders, running smoke tests and QA checks, and driving execution through to final sign-off.
• Validate physical trade lifecycle workflows spanning capture, risk management, logistics, settlement, and accounting, applying shift-left practices in close collaboration with development teams.
• Coordinate environment usage across functional, valuation, performance, and STP testing, ensuring SIT and regression phases are well-prepared and smoothly executed.
• Use SQL and test tooling to validate data across systems, drive automated test reporting, and provide stakeholders with clear, timely visibility into progress, defects, and risks.
• Actively participate in defect and test management forums, identify testing risks early, and champion QA process improvements across releases and programmes.

Technical Skillset:

• 8+ years in software testing (regression, SIT, UAT) with strong hands-on test automation framework experience
• SQL querying/scripting & backend testing skills, ETRM/Risk systems experience (Allegro, Endur, Aspect or similar)
• Jira & Zephyr experience for defect/test management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving & communication skills
• Automated regression/performance testing knowledge (a plus)
• Awareness of AI-assisted testing (test generation, coverage analysis, defect triage)
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification preferred
