Senior Analytics Engineer (Snowflake & Cortex Analyst) -6 Month Contract

Our client is delivering an enterprise AI platform that combines business reporting with enterprise knowledge to provide trusted, source-backed answers to commercial teams. They are seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to build the analytical foundation powering this solution.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable analytics solutions within Snowflake.
• Build trusted semantic models supporting AI-powered natural language querying.
• Develop production ELT pipelines and curated analytical datasets.
• Configure and optimise Snowflake Cortex Analyst for business reporting use cases.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to integrate structured reporting data into enterprise AI applications.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, governance and validation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs and analytical requirements.
• Optimise data models and platform performance for production workloads.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments.
• Experience implementing Snowflake Cortex Analyst and semantic models.
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Experience building production data pipelines, analytical models and KPI frameworks.
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling, data validation and governance.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
