  • Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure multi-cloud architectures.
  • Define and enforce cloud governance, standards, and best practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Lead cloud adoption strategies, landing zones, and environment standardization.
  • Provide architectural guidance and review designs for application teams.

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

  • Oversee provisioning and lifecycle management of IaaS and PaaS services.
  • Architect and manage cloud networking (VPC/VNet design, hybrid connectivity, VPN, DNS, WAF, firewalls).
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex L3/L4 production issues.

Kubernetes & Platform Engineering

  • Architect and operate enterprise Kubernetes platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE).
  • Define cluster standards, security policies, and workload isolation strategies.
  • Implement advanced networking, ingress, service mesh, and scaling strategies.
  • Drive platform engineering initiatives using tools like Rancher.

DevOps, GitOps & Automation

  • Lead implementation of GitOps practices using Argo CD (multi-cluster, app-of-apps, drift remediation).
  • Design and optimize enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Establish best practices for Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) including modular design and reuse.
  • Promote automation across infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operations.

Security & Compliance

  • Define and enforce cloud security frameworks aligned with CIS benchmarks and enterprise policies.
  • Oversee IAM architecture including RBAC models, SSO, MFA, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Lead vulnerability management, posture monitoring, and audit compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure secure image pipelines, patching strategies, and secrets management.

Monitoring, Observability & Reliability

  • Architect observability frameworks integrating logs, metrics, and tracing systems.
  • Drive SRE practices including SLIs/SLOs, alerting strategies, and incident response improvements.
  • Continuously improve system reliability, availability, and operational insights.

Cost Optimization & Governance

  • Define and implement cost governance frameworks, budgets, and optimization strategies.
  • Drive initiatives for right-sizing, tagging compliance, and usage optimization.
  • Provide cost visibility dashboards and executive-level reporting.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor L1/L2 engineers and conduct technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to align platform capabilities.
  • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and incident post-mortems.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, standards, and reusable frameworks.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 8–12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering
  • Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP (multi-cloud environments)
  • Strong expertise in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Deep experience in Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE) and platform engineering
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and GitOps (Argo CD)
  • Advanced understanding of cloud networking and hybrid architectures
  • Expertise in IAM, RBAC, and enterprise security frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance models
  • Hands-on experience with observability, monitoring, and SRE practices
  • Proven experience in cost optimization and cloud financial management

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Rancher, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), or similar tools
  • Scripting (Python, Bash) and automation frameworks
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise cloud transformation programs
  • Certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, Kubernetes CKA/CKS)
