Senior Data Platform Engineer (L3) - Part-Time

We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platform engineer with deep expertise in enterprise-scale Fabric deployments. Leads platform architecture, governance frameworks, security design, and integration with the broader Azure data ecosystem. Acts as subject matter expert and drives platform maturity.

Required Skills and experience:

• 5-8 years expert-level Microsoft Fabric architecture and enterprise deployment
• Azure Data Services ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Purview, Event Hub)
• OneLake and data mesh architecture patterns
• Microsoft Purview data governance integration with Fabric
• Advanced Azure security: Entra ID, Private Endpoints, VNet integration, CMK encryption
• Infrastructure-as-Code for Fabric and Azure (Terraform, Bicep)
• FinOps and capacity optimization for Fabric workloads
• Enterprise data platform governance and compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001)

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and govern enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric platform environments
• Lead design of data platform security, governance, and compliance frameworks using Purview and Fabric
• Drive integration of Fabric with enterprise data sources, ERP, and analytics platforms
• Lead capacity planning, FinOps optimisation, and Fabric SKU management
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code for automated Fabric provisioning and configuration
• Define monitoring, alerting, and SLA frameworks for data platform operations
• Design and implement HA/DR strategies for critical data platform workloads
• Act as escalation point for complex Fabric and Azure incidents
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; drive platform adoption and maturity initiatives
