Senior ServiceNow ITOM Architect - Part-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow ITOM Architect to lead complex, enterprise-scale ServiceNow transformations across global environments. This role requires deep expertise in ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB architecture, integrations, governance, and platform engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and governing scalable ServiceNow architectures, leading implementation teams, and ensuring the platform delivers business-critical visibility, operational resilience, and compliance across highly complex enterprise infrastructures.

This is a senior technical leadership role requiring proven experience delivering large-scale ServiceNow ITOM programs within regulated and mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of ServiceNow ITOM solutions across enterprise environments.
• Own Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, and platform governance strategies.
• Design scalable ServiceNow architectures supporting complex hybrid-cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
• Define and enforce ServiceNow development standards, security controls, and governance frameworks.
• Lead integration design using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and third-party monitoring tools.
• Establish and maintain CMDB health standards, data governance, reconciliation rules, and service models.
• Drive Event Management correlation strategies, alert reduction, and operational automation.
• Lead technical workshops with Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and Executive stakeholders.
• Manage platform upgrades, deployment strategies, release management, and platform performance optimization.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural oversight to ServiceNow administrators and developers.
• Ensure all implementations meet audit, security, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Support enterprise-wide digital transformation and IT Operations modernization initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 8+ years of ServiceNow experience, with at least 5+ years focused on ITOM.
• Proven experience leading enterprise ServiceNow implementations in large-scale environments.
• Deep expertise in: Discovery Service Mapping Event Management CMDB Architecture MID Server Design Integration Architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Experience managing environments containing 50,000+ Configuration Items (CIs).
• Strong understanding of ITIL, ITSM, CMDB governance, and operational processes.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with monitoring platforms, cloud providers, and enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and stakeholder engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA)
• ServiceNow CIS-Discovery
• ServiceNow CIS-Service Mapping
• ServiceNow CIS-Event Management
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud discovery patterns
• Experience with AIOps and Operational Intelligence solutions
• Experience supporting regulated sectors such as Banking, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or Government

Candidates should have demonstrable experience in:

• Architecting enterprise ServiceNow environments across multiple business units.
• Managing CMDBs containing tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of CIs.
• Designing advanced Discovery and Service Mapping patterns.
• Leading Event Management implementations that materially reduced operational alerts.
• Governing platform standards across multiple development teams.
• Driving executive-level technical decisions and enterprise transformation programs.
