Senior System Engineer (Server Infrastructure)

Salary: S$8,000 – S$11,000 Basic + 1 Month Performance Bonus
1 Year Project renewable under Agency Payroll

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and operational excellence of enterprise server infrastructure.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise Windows & Linux server infrastructure
• Build and maintain highly available physical, virtualized and cloud environments
• Administer VMware, Hyper-V or KVM virtualization platforms
• Implement server hardening, access controls and security best practices
• Configure and support enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions
• Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Create scripts using Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate operational tasks
• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance
• Design and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) solutions
• Perform capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, SOPs and system diagrams
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud and cybersecurity teams on enterprise projects

You are an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys working with enterprise-scale systems and takes pride in delivering stable, secure, and efficient environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of System Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows Server and Linux environments
• Solid expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
• Experience with cloud platforms such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong knowledge of: Server architecture Enterprise storage (SAN/NAS)Networking fundamentals High Availability (HA)Disaster Recovery (DR)
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet
• Scripting experience using: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Experience with server hardening, system monitoring and infrastructure optimization
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong documentation, planning and project coordination abilities
• 24X7 Support Standby is required

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with one or more of the following certifications will have an advantage:

• CompTIA Security+
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Microsoft Certified
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• AWS / Azure / Google Cloud certifications
• ITIL Foundation
