ServiceNow Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ServiceNow Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in developing, configuring, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing solutions, implementing solutions, improving workflows, and delivering high-quality technical outcomes that support business needs. The candidate will also need to collaborate with business and operations teams to deliver their requirements, including building dashboards for reporting and insights. Aside from servicenow developer as the main role, The candidate will also be exposed to other areas/tasks as per required such as automation or devsecops too.

Key Responsibilities

· Gather and analyse user requirements, prepare technical specifications/design and estimate impact & efforts.

· Design, Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, CMDB, ITAM, ITOM). Build and customize platform components including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flows, Data Policies, and Catalog Items.

· Perform data engineering tasks including data analysis, data transformation, and data validation. Integrate data from multiple sources and build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines.

· Automate operational tasks (eg: for reconciliation) using scripting (shell script, power shell java script) or programming languages (Python).

- Provide technical support for applications/tools supported by enablement team, including incident/problem troubleshooting, resolution and performance optimization.

· Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and IT standards, securities and governance.

· Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams, report status and progress regularly. · Prepare and update the relevant documentations as required.

· Document processes, configurations, knowledgebases and best practices.

· Willing to learn new things and be assigned for additional task to support IT Operation tools (ITSM, ITAM, PAM, Asset Discovery, CMDB, DevSecOps, Observability) BAU/project in the organization.

Requirements

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experiences

General Knowledge

· Good knowledge and understanding of ITIL processes, IT Operations (ITSM, ITAM, PAM, Asset Discovery, CMDB, DevSecOps, Observability).

· Experience working with SDLC methodologies including requirement analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.

Technical Skills

· Experience in ServiceNow development and customization (workflows, business rules, UI components, ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, ITOM).

· Experience of data wrangling, cleaning, transformation, and integration techniques.

· Familiarity in programming & scripting: Python, Unix Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript.

· Familiarity with REST API and SOAP web services.

· Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and good knowledge of web technologies.

· Experience in system or tools integration.

· Experience in DevSecOps tools, CI/CD pipeline design, development and automation.

· Experience with Power BI/Kibana/Grafana for data visualization & data modelling.

Soft Skills

· Good communicator and able to be the bridge between technical team and business/operations user.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work in tight timelines, prioritize effectively and follow committed schedule for deliveries

· Self-motivated, self-starter, and be proactive.

· Team player with good interpersonal skills.

· Have open mindset to learn new skills as required and apply to enhance team productivity.

Certifications:

· ServiceNow certifications such as CSA (Certified System Administrator) and CAD (Certified Application Developer) will be preferred.
