Position: Graduate Industry Trainee (GRIT) – ServiceNow Developer

Through this Graduate Industry Traineeship (GRIT), trainees will gain practical experience in ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, workflow automation, and low-code application development.

As a ServiceNow Developer Trainee, you will work alongside experienced ServiceNow architects, consultants, and developers to support enterprise ServiceNow implementations and enhancements. You will gain exposure to IT Service Management (ITSM), Service Catalog, Workflow Automation, App Engine Studio, and modern digital workflow solutions that help organizations improve operational efficiency and user experience.

This role is ideal for graduates interested in enterprise applications, low-code development, automation, and cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and development activities.
  • Support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
  • Configure forms, fields, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and access controls under guidance from senior team members.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Service Catalog items, Record Producers, and workflow automations.
  • Build and enhance low-code applications using ServiceNow App Engine Studio and related platform capabilities.
  • Create and maintain custom tables, forms, workflows, and business logic to support business requirements.
  • Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and platform support activities.
  • Support platform upgrades, release management, patch testing, and deployment activities.
  • Assist with integrations and API-based connectivity between ServiceNow and external applications.
  • Prepare technical documentation, user guides, knowledge articles, and support materials.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions, solution workshops, and project discussions with stakeholders.
  • Follow ServiceNow development standards, governance processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver innovative digital workflow solutions and process improvements.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or have graduated in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Have an interest in enterprise applications, workflow automation, and digital transformation technologies.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Are able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Are eager to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

Candidates should have basic knowledge in several of the following areas:

IT Service Management (ITSM)

  • Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management processes.
  • Familiarity with ITSM concepts and service delivery principles.

ServiceNow Fundamentals

  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow navigation, forms, lists, users, groups, and roles.
  • Understanding of platform administration and configuration concepts.

Workflow Automation

  • Awareness of UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and Flow Designer.
  • Understanding of workflow automation and business process digitization.

Service Catalog & Request Management

  • Familiarity with Service Catalog concepts, Record Producers, and approval workflows.

Low-Code Application Development

  • Understanding of App Engine Studio and low-code application development principles.
  • Awareness of Guided Application Creator and scoped application design.

Programming & Integration Concepts

  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and web technologies.
  • Understanding of REST APIs and system integration concepts.

Databases & Data Management

  • Basic understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data relationships.

Cloud & Enterprise Technologies

  • Interest in cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and digital workflow solutions.

Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic project environment.

GRIT Programme Eligibility

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  • Graduated in 2024, 2025, or 2026 from a University, Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or other recognised educational institution.
  • Available to commit to a minimum traineeship duration of six (6) months.
  • Not currently participating in another full-time traineeship, employment, or government-funded training programme during the traineeship period.
